We are progressing with the second bedroom. I have determined that due to soooo much water getting into the attic above this room, the insulation and lathe must also go. So...we are tearing the entire ceiling out. Will install new faring strips before re-covering the ceiling. I will be at the house later today and will take some photos of the progress.
As for the rest of the house, we tore into some other areas, namely the ceiling and fireplace in the dining room, the ceiling in the seated rotunda on the west side of the dining room, and most recently the library/den. Here are some pictures of each area prior to doing any work.
